Dr. Scott Phipps

Dr Phipps first came to Maleny in the late 70’s taking up the position of Superintendent of the Maleny Hospital and having his private practice adjacent to the hospital. His interests lie in general family medicine and aged care.

Dr. Peter Seha
FRACGP, MBBS
Peter graduated medical school in Egypt in 2004 where his work was mostly related to emergency and general medicine. He moved to Australia in 2009. He has worked in various positions as GP/ED in NSW and QLD, at Wagga Wagga , Coffs Harbour, Townsville, and Caboolture. Peter has received an Advanced Clinical Certificate in Dermoscopy for Skin Cancer prevention and treatment. He is also particularly focused on health care needs for over 50’s.

Dr. Kerlos Habib
MBBS
Dr Kerlos Habib completed his medical degree at Cairo University, Egypt in 2015 and brings more than 10 years of diverse clinical experience to his practice. During his early career, he developed a strong passion for women’s health, completing both a Diploma and a Master’s Degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He went on to work for 5 years in women’s health, gaining extensive hands-on experience in antenatal and postnatal care, reproductive health, family planning and the management of common gynaecological conditions.
Since relocating to Australia, Dr Kerlos has continued to providing patient-centered care and takes pride in creating a comfortable, supportive environment for patients of all ages. His special interests include all aspects of general practice, with particular focus on women’s health, preventative medicine, chronic disease management and patient education.
Dr Kerlos values continuity of care and enjoys forming long-term therapeutic relationships with individuals and families. He is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, compassionate healthcare and strives to empower patients to make informed decisions about their wellbeing.
Dr. Sujeewa Palagama
MBBS
Dr Sujeewa Palagama is an experienced GP Registrar with a broad background in surgery, emergency medicine, women’s health, general practice, and medical education. Graduating in 2006, he trained across multiple surgical specialties after gaining early experience in General Medicine and Women’s Health.
After completing a Master’s degree in Medical Research, Dr Palagama spent nearly a decade in medical education, holding teaching and leadership roles at Griffith University, Bond University, and the University of New England. He was also a founding academic of the Griffith Medical Program at the Sunshine Coast.
He later returned to clinical practice at Nambour, Gympie, and Sunshine Coast University Hospitals, working in Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, and as a registrar in General, Plastic, Urology, and Vascular Surgery. He continues to work in Vascular Surgery on an ad-hoc basis.
Now based in Maleny, Dr Palagama works at Maleny Medical Centre and in the Emergency Department at Maleny Soldiers Memorial Hospital. His interests include skin cancer detection and surgery, aesthetic medicine, vascular conditions, and men’s and women’s health. He values a holistic, patient-centred approach.
Outside medicine, he enjoys time with his wife, daughter, and their golden retriever, Julian, and loves exploring the Maleny hinterland.
